DESCRIPTION
One Indiana Square – also known as Union Planters Bank, Indiana National Bank Tower, INB Tower, and NBD Bank Tower – is a 37-story commercial office located in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. The building was originally constructed in 1969 and parts of the facade were damaged in a storm in 2006. As a consequence, the facade was retrofitted in 2009 with changes that involved a total replacement of its original curtain wall for a blue-gray skin. The installation of the new curtain wall was performed twenty one inches out from the original envelope, leaving the window-based heating and air conditioning untouched. Interior windows were removed after the whole new facade was finished on the exterior. The removal of the windows occurred during the night shift to allow normal building operations to continue during the day.
